New to Banfield, S.E.15 in May 1959 with a Burlingham Seagull VII C41F body, WLO692, a Leyland PSUC1/2 Tiger Cub, was rebodied with a Plaxton Panorama Elite II C45F body in 1972 and is seen with Thomas, West Ewell at Wembley with the twin towers in the background. 16. EMH824B ... New to Thomas, West Ewell in April 1964, EMH824B, seen here operating a railway replacement service at Teddington, was a Bedford SB13 with a Harrington Crusader IV C41F body. Withdrawn in December 1971 it had, by 1975, passed to Martin of Limerick as seen in the "More Photos" section Jul1975. (October 1964, Teddington Station)
17. HLK811C ... Thomas, West Ewell HLK811C, an A.E.C. 2U3RA Reliance new in 1965 as a non-P.S.V., the chassis of which was acquired by Thomas from Seeboard, Eastbourne and re-bodied with a Plaxton Panorama Elite III C53F body in June 1975. (Sat 19/8/78, Woburn Place, London)
18. EJP561F ... Seen on Epsom Downs on Derby Day are two Thomas, West Ewell rebuilt and rebodied A.E.C. Reliances. HPG650V was previously EJP561F (6MU4R6594), new in 1968 to Smith, Wigan with a Plaxton Panorama I C44F body, the chassis of which was rebuilt by Thomas in 1979 with chassis number ETS15779, before being rebodied in 1979 with the Plaxton Supreme IV C53F body seen here. 19. HPG650V ... Malta Route Bus DBY333, an A E C Reliance ETS (whatever that was) built in 1968 with Plaxton Supreme IV B47F bodywork from 1979. (Tue 17/5/11, Valletta Bus Station)
20. WYP203G ... Acquired by Thomas, West Ewell from Surrey Motors, Sutton, for spares, in December 1973 after accident damage, WYP203G, an A.E.C. 6MU3R Reliance, had its Plaxton Panorama Elite body replaced by a Plaxton Panorama Elite III C41F body, re-entering service in November 1974. 22. ELN927T ... Thomas, West Ewell ELN927T was a Leyland PSU5C/4R Leopard with Duple Dominant C57F body new to Prairie, West Drayton. It was acquired by Thomas in November 1983 from T.U.R. 23. ELN927T ... About to cross London Bridge is ETO585 a Leyland PSU5C/4R Leopard with a Duple Dominant C57F body new to Prairie, Uxbridge as ELN927T. It was acquired by Thomas, West Ewell (t/a Edward Thomas & Son) in November 1983 from T.U.R. Travel, London W.2 and re-registered in June 1985. It is seen here in a contract livery to operate for London Transport Tours and Charter which it retained until September 1986 when it received the Thomas name replacing the LT lettering.
