Hall Bros, South Shields H26, DCU147D, is seen here in Huntingdon Street Bus Station in Nottingham, and was an A.E.C. 2U3RA Reliance with a Plaxton Panorama C49F body, new in June 1966.
Hall Bros. which Barton acquired on 13th July 1967, was operated as a wholly owned subsidiary company until the vehicles were progressively transferred to the main fleet between 1969 and 1971, with DCU147D being transferred in January 1971, becoming Barton 1173. After withdrawal in 1974, it passed to Kirkby (dealer), Anston, in October, and was then with Ferris, Taffs Well, from January to October 1975. It was next noted with Oldroyd, Hemsworth in September 1976, passing to Campling (White Rose Coaches), Filey in June 1969, and to Wood, Wold Newton in May 1981.
