City Coach started as a London independent bus operator but diversified in the 1920s with what was later to be their main route, between Kentish Town/Wood Green and Southend. Leyland Lion L17, YE9648, is typical of the vehicles used on this route on its early days.
It is seen here at the London end of the route, probably laying over between journeys.
