Southend Corporation 266, HGF918, a Daimler CWA6, new in 1946 to London Transport with a Park Royal body as D241, bought by Southend in 1953 and rebodied by Massey L27/28R in February 1954, entering service at the start of April that year.
It was withdrawn in Spring 1965.
By the time of John's visit in September 1963, only four of the thirteen ex-LTE buses bought for trolleybus replacement remained in service but John was able to photograph three of them, this one 266, 268 and 269.
