Southend No. 124, BHJ194, one of the 1939 batch of AEC/Strachan double deckers, heads east along Fairfax Drive on an Eastern Circular on 2nd October 1954.
This batch of six vehicles survived to the end of the system apart from 126, which was withdrawn slightly earlier following an accident (see here). After the system closed, it was understood that they were to be sold to an operator in Spain, but the deal fell through.
