Another shot on the Great Orme, showing why many consider it to be a tramway, at least for part of its route. Here car 5 is descending Old Road, where the gradient ranges from 1 in 3.6 to 1 in 4.4 (a stimulating climb for photographers!). This road is closed to traffic except for access to local premises.

The tram is on Ty-Gwyn Rd looking down Old Road, with Llandudno Bay in the distance. This clearly shows the conduit housing the cables and this doesn't give a true feel of the near-vertical incline of the roads at this point.
