J8588, Jersey Motor Transport 27, was a Leyland PD2/31 with a Reading H31/28R body new in 1959 and was the second Reading double-deck body delivered to J.M.T.
It was withdrawn in November 1975, passing to Brakell (dealer), Cheam in November 1976 and to Panter (?), London in December for preservation, registered 780 JGY, and stored at Amberley. It passed, in June 1989, to B. Birks, East Grinstead for continued preservation.
