BCT 2870, JOJ870, is seen in Ward End exiting Alum Rock Road and turning onto Washwood Heath Road. The bus is seen with West Midlands decals but in former BCT livery. It was a Daimler CV6G with Crossley H30/25R body, new in early 1953.
The route 28 was a inter suburban route and indeed still is, although has a different route in this area now as Washwood Heath Rood is now a dual carriageway and vehicles cannot turn right onto it as this bus is doing.
