Two views of Huddersfield Corporation 619, KVH219 a BUT 9641T with East Lancs H40/32R body new in 1956 although it didn't enter service until January 1957, seen here in strange territory.
Newly preserved, 619 was towed up to Teesside in January 1969 to do a tour of the former Tees-Side Railless Traction Board system, by now part of Teesside Municipal Transport.
The tour took place on Sunday 12th January and I was one of the participants.
The week before 619 did a test run on the TMT system with the results it brought down the overhead wiring on Middlesbrough Road East just past the corner with Eston Road which was known as Cleveland House Curve.
619 is seen marooned under the damaged wiring whilst the service car (it could be 18, CPY289 a Sunbeam W of 1944, rebodied by Roe in 1961 but I can't quite make it out) bound for Eston via Normanby is having to use the Grangetown bound wires to get past the interloper.
