London Transport RMC4, SLT59, was the fourth prototype of the Routemaster fleet. Originally numbered CRL4, it had the only Eastern Coachworks body to be fitted to a Routemaster, this being in the configuration of CH32/23RD.
As implied by the original fleet number it had a Leyland O600 engine which was coupled to a hydraulically actuated fully automatic gearbox. It was renumbered to RMC4 in August 1961, and is seen here operating from Windsor Garage on the Greenline service 718 to Windsor.
