Newcastle 351, UTN851, was a Leyland PD2/20, with a Metro Cammell H32/26R body new in November 1954, after being exhibited at the 1954 Commercial Motor Show.
Despite the PD2/20 classification it was fitted with a Pneumocyclic gearbox and pre-dated the introduction of the PD2/24 designation. Similar vehicles UTN 852/3, also PD2/20 models, had the normal manual gearboxes.
