Samuel Ledgard 1953U was one of a batch of six AEC Regent Vs, the first new double deckers ordered since Samuel Ledgard's death in 1952. Roe provided the H37/28R bodywork carried here in King Street, Leeds and after takeover by West Yorkshire in October 1967, this one became DAW9.
