Preserved Devon General XTA839, SN839, is a 1958 Albion Nimbus NS3AN with Willowbrook B31F bodywork.
It replaced 675COD on a special trip to Dartmeet the day after the Kingsbridge running day. It and the two SUS4A negotiated 1 in 5 gradients, hairpin bends and 2 narrow bridges during the tour. What is not shown are the two people walking in front of the bus checking clearance on both sides as it crossed the bridge.
The scene has probably not changed much over the years - perhaps more vegetation, more cars and the clothes the man is wearing. Cars were held back from approaching the bridge by yet a third member of the crew whilst people like me took the pictures. The two SUS4A on the same bridge can be seen at here.
