Charlie's Cars, Bournemouth 79, 1179CD, was one of six Harrington Cavalier bodied Albion MR11L new in June 1960.
Charlie's Cars had been acquired by Shamrock & Rambler in 1963 but operated as a separate unit and retaining its own livery. All six of these Harrington Cavaliers passed to Morris, Pencoed, three in December 1969 (but not licensed until March 1970) and the other three (79 included), in January 1971. From Morris, two saw further service elsewhere but 79 was withdrawn after an accident in February 1972 and used for spares.
Behind the Harrington, RMT 645E was a Bedford VAM14 with Duple Viceroy bodywork new to Ben Stanley, Hersham, in 1967. Another busy Saturday afternoon at Victoria Coach Station, the coach roofs visible in the background awaiting their turn in the queue out of Semley Place and into Buckingham Palace Road.
