The Wakering group of routes, 4/4A/4B, have been worked variously by ST and EN at different times during the history of the Southend Co-ordination Agreement. During one of the ST phases we see Lowlander 332, 7096HJ, operating OMO on the Barling variant, 4B, near High House farm on its way to Southend from the terminus with perhaps the longest name - certainly one to challenge the destination blind designers - "Little Wakering, Coronation Close".
Today the service via Barling is provided by the 14, an Essex CC contract service currently (2007) operated by Stephensons with a low-floor Dart, on a service that continues beyond Little Wakering to either Foulness or Shoebury East Beach.
