Sheffield tuition bus D8, KWA548, had been new in 1947 as number 548, and was a Leyland PD2/1 with a Leyland H30/26R body.
It was withdrawn in 1962, becoming tuition vehicle M8 and was later renumbered to D8 in 1966.
