Sheffield 1016, 616BWB, was one of four Park Royal bodied Leyland Leopard L1 new to the 'B' fleet in March (1015) or April 1962.
New as 1315-8, they were renumbered 1015-8 in April 1967 and transferred to the Corporation on 1 January 1970 when the JOC fleet was transferred. They were again renumbered in February 1970, becoming 11-14. On 1 April 1974 all four transferred to the newly formed South Yorkshire PTE and were withdrawn in September or October 1975. Henry Hulley & Sons Ltd, Baslow acquired 616 and 618 BWB in May 1976, with 618 entering service in August 1976 and 616 BWB in the December. From there 616 BWB was sold to Ensign Bus Co Ltd, Grays (dealer) in August 1978 and to E Beckett, Carlton (dealer) for scrap in the same month.
