Yorkshire W.D. 100, GHD763, a Leyland Titan PD3A/1 with Metro-Cammell H39/31F body, new in 1962 as 891 and renumbered in 1967.
Pictured operating service 24 Halifax to Leeds via Cleckheaton and following a diversion around the 'bottom end of town' in order to avoid a temporary weight restriction on North Bridge whilst strengthening work was being carried out. These were regular perfomers on the 24 from being new for a few years until replaced by OMO single deckers.
The 'dark satanic mills' on the near left were occupied by Riding Hall Carpets and those in the background by J. & J. Baldwin - later Paton & Baldwin - Worsted and Woollen spinners. Just out of the photo to the right was the former Halifax Corporation Gas Works. All were demolished by the 1980s with the Paton & Baldwin site now occupied by a Matalan store.
