Safeguard Coaches, Guildford APA46B was a Willowbrook B53F bodied AEC Reliance 2U3RA which had been new in January 1964.
It was sold to Barton Transport, Chilwell, as their 1141, in November 1969. From Barton it went to Beeston's (Hadleigh) Ltd in September 1974, and to Rule's Coaches, Boxford in May 1978. Its last licence expired in December 1990 and it was sold into preservation by June 2000. Sadly, it was damaged by fire at Ruddington Heritage Centre in February 2007 and scrapped by August 2012.
