West Yorkshire EUG85, 7906WY, a Bristol Bristol MW5G with ECW DP41F bodywork, was one of a batch of nine similar vehicles (EUG81-89: 7902-7910WY) delivered in 1961.
In 1970/71 the batch received Gardner 6HLW engines removed from withdrawn LS6G coaches to improve performance, with EUG85 receiving its upgrade in November 1970. The LS coaches received the 5HLW engines from the MWs in exchange, but never operated in West Yorkshire service in this form. EUG85 was withdrawn in November 1974, following accident damage.
Standing alongside is CUG39, 799CWU, one of a batch of six Bristol MW6Gs with ECW C39F coachwork delivered in 1963 (CUG36-41: 796-801CWU). It was withdrawn from service in March 1977, and by July 1978 was with Lofty's Tours of Bridge Trafford.
