Former West Yorkshire 1109, OWY750K, was a Bristol RESL6G with ECW B47F bodywork, new to Keighley-West Yorkshire as its 2109 in 1972.
It became West Yorkshire 1109 in 1974, following the demise of Keighley-West Yorkshire joint operations due to local government reorganisation.

In August 1983 1109 went to APT at Bracebridge Heath, and in January 1984 was converted by them into a vehicle for disabled people for the British Red Cross. The bus returned to Harrogate in Summer 1984, smartly outshopped in a smart half-and-half dark blue and white livery as seen in the photo, complete with British Red Cross logo on the radiator grille, utilising the former NBC logo radiator badge as a base, which was a nice touch.

Internally, a Webasto heater was fitted, along with a PA system, and the driver's cab door was removed.
The West Yorkshire Information Service noted that four inward facing seats were provided on the offside and three on the nearside over the front wheelarches, plus anchorage points for five wheelchairs. However, no mention was made relating to the seats retained at the rear of the vehicle as seen in the photo - most unlike the WYIS. Wheelchair access was by means of a lift provided on the nearside, in the third bay, along with a two-piece door. The RESL entered service with British Red Cross at Princess Mary House, Queen Parade, Harrogate on the 2nd July 1984, and was garaged and maintained at West Yorkshire's Grove Park depot, Harrogate.
