176. THN262F
For all rear view fans, United fans and Bristol fans, here is ex United L262, THN262F, still in Tilling red/cream but with Western fleetnames and adverts standing at Anderston Bus Station, Glasgow in March 1973. The conductor has obviously realised there is such a thing as a rear number screen, and has correctly displayed it for the service to Eaglesham. Comparing the reds, there doesn't seem to be much difference in this slide anyway between Western and United.

One of the all time classic bus designs was the Alexander Y type. The rear was as good looking as the front as exemplified by this shot of Western SMT 2466, SCS335M, a 1974 Leyland Leopard with Y type coach body. The famous black and white coach livery is carried.
