289HHU was Western National 2901, a Bristol MW originally a coach with Bristol Greyhound in 1960, to WNOC in 1973.
Bristol SU website notes converted to DP and painted in local coach livery, though in this shot it has definitely got bus seats and not the "official" NBC local coach livery layout. SU website notes that it later went to Devon General and gained poppy red though then back to WNOC and there is a shot of it in green again but just a white stripe below the windows. Out of service by 1980, so it got about a bit!
Route 264 Taunton to Yeovil, presumably a Yeovil bus given the advert announcing the new M&S store in that town.
