Trent 1218, VO8566, was an AEC Regent acquired with the business of Naylor, Normanton in 1956. New in 1932 as Mansfield & District 66 when it carried a Weymann H30/24R body, it had been rebodied in 1949 with a Burlingham H30/26R body after sale to Naylor, and is seen here in Derby Bus Station.

RC2551 with W J Hancock, Patchway Coaches Gloucestershire, an ex-Trent 1935 BMMO DON with Duple DP31F body. Disposed in 1948 and sold on by Patchway in 1949 after what appears to be a rather odd looking front end rebuild. Finished up in 1953 as a lorry.

Trent 1004, RC3326, one of a batch of 15 delivered in January 1936. A BMMO FEDD with Metro-Cammell body, it was withdrawn and scrapped in May 1950 and sold to a local scrap merchant. Some of this batch were adapted to run on producer gas in 1941/42 but was discontinued as it was not a success

A Trent BMMO FEDD believed to be 1011, RC3333, new in 1936, sold in May 1951 to Bainbridge a dealer, sold on to a Mr Stevenson a farmer at Dalbury Lees Derbyshire, used as a storeshed.

Interior shot of RC4615, the 1937 Trent Regal with Willowbrook body. The seats are the original moquette. The Odeon style lights are quaint. Trent ran these types on seaside services and were understandably unpopular with passengers.

Prefect Coaches, Liverpool RC4631 and EDK726 were seen in the coach park in Portland Street, Manchester which backed on to Chorlton Street Bus Station. RC4631 was a 1937 A.E.C. O661 Regent acquired from Trent, Derby 1025 which had a Willowbrook H30/26R body new in 1948 whilst EDK726 was a Leyland TS11 Tiger, new to Yelloway, Rochdale in 1942 with a Burlingham C32- body.

Trent AEC Regent 1344, RC4635, was new in 1937 with a Weymann H30/26F body. It was rebodied with a Willowbrook L27/28R body in 1949 and is seen here in Derby Bus Station.

RC4635 was one of 30 AEC Regents bought by Trent in 1937 and fitted with handsome Weymann 56 seat bodies. Many of the batch were rebodied by Willowbrook in the late 1940s and stayed in service with Trent until 1959/60.

RC9012 was an AEC Regal new to Trent in 1946 as their fleet number 746. Withdrawn in September 1960 it was converted in January 1961 to carry wheelchair passengers at the Leonard Cheshire home at Staunton Harold, near Melbourne, South Derbyshire.

Express Motors, Rhostryfan, RC9680, an AEC Regal 0662 with Willowbrook FDP39F body. New to Trent in 1947 with Willowbrook B35F body and numbered 774, Willowbrook lengthened it to 30ft and rebuilt it in this form in 1958, becoming no. 308. Acquired by Express Motors in 1962.

Trent Central Works in an unusually quiet period. The two chassis are 1937 AEC Regent IIs, overhauled and ready to go to Willowbrook for re-bodying. The petitioned off section at the rear was the paint shop which was moved to Meadow Road in 1951. That area became the fuel pump shop, gearbox overhaul shop and tinsmiths.

Trent Leyland Atlantean 571, ONN571P, with remains of its ECW body after the fire at Meadow Road Derby in July 1976. 571 was brand new and had not even been on the road. It was rebodied by Willowbrook and had a curious PD3 roof. Its now in in preservation. Next to it is 622CCH, a1963 Daimler Fleetline with Northern Counties body, 622 was scrapped. 38 vehicles were lost in the fire.

Trent 571, ONN571P, an ECW bodied Leyland Atlantean had its body destroyed in the fire at Meadow Road depot, Derby in July 1976. It was subsequently rebodied by Willowbrook with a style similar to the 1969 bodies on the Devon General Atlanteans that were diverted to Yorkshire Traction, although the front panel is to a much plainer design. Alongside by happy co-incidence is 572, ONN572P, with the original Eastern Coach Works body.
