Halifax JOC 260, TGJ485, an AEC Reliance MU3RV with Burlingham Seagull V C41F body.
New to Bourne & Balmer, Croydon in 1957 and later passing to Timpson's, London SE6 it passed to HJOC as 264 in 1966, later renumbered 260.
It was one of the secondhand coaches that was not rebodied and it was sold to Alan Allmey, Eastcote in 1971. Allmey traded as dealer and operator and after use by him and being hired out to others it was scrapped by a Barnsley breaker in 1976.
Here it is seen on a cold winter's day climbing up Brow Lane in the Shibden Valley working a 33 to Shibden. Though used mainly on schools and works contracts as part of the coach fleet it wasn't uncommon to see the older coaches operating on local service with a conductor it that's all that was available at the time.
