Former Southern Vectis 239, SDL3, a Bedford SB8 with Duple Vega C41F coachwork, new in May 1959.
It passed to Fountain Coaches in March 1969 and was withdrawn in July 1973. By August 1973 it was with Farnell Instruments of Wetherby for staff transport, retaining its Fountain Coaches livery, and was with Farnell until April 1978, when it returned to W North (dealer), Sherburn-in-Elmet.

239 was one of four Bedford SB8/Duple coaches delivered to Southern Vectis that year (239-242:SDL3-6). Sister vehicle 242 (SDL6) also passed to W North's in 1973, and then on to the Army Apprentices College in Harrogate for further service. Thus both SDL3 and SDL6 could be seen around the area from time to time, which certainly confused me no end!
(Much of the above information came from SCT'61 contributors David Call and the late Trevor Leach from another posting on the site).
