EBR229, formerly Sunderland Corporation 29, was one of four Guy Arab LUF with Burlingham B42D bodywork and was new in October 1954.
Three went direct to Martin (dealer), Weaverham, in July 1968, while 29 passed initially to the Corporation's Education Department in October 1968, and then to Martin (dealer) by August 1969, as evidenced by this photograph. The vehicle to the right is ex-Crosville SLG128 (already on the site) and to the left is former Bury Corporation 86, FEN 86, a Weymann bodied AEC Reliance MU3RV from 1957, one of a batch of six which is represented on the site by an earlier shot of FEN 83.
