Having arrived at Rayleigh High Street on Service 1, the crew of Southend Bridgemaster 320, WHJ431, enjoy a brief moment before departing on the hour long run to Shoeburyness.
Until Services 1,7 and 8 were extended to Rayleigh Station, all three terminated in the High Street. As is well documented, services 1 & 7 interworked as did 8 during peak periods. Outside the peaks, buses on 8 swung round in the wide High Street.
