Southend 285, HJN845, seen here at the terminus of route 61B and blinds not yet set for the return journey. It was a Leyland PD2/20 with Weymann L27/28R body, bought in 1954 for trolleybus replacement and entering service on the 16th October.
It was withdrawn in 1966, exchanged with dealer Millburn Motors (plus some money!) for ex-Glasgow single deckers 210-214 and subsequently sold to Cunninghams of Paisley, lasting with them until 1971.
