Southend 'Whiskeymasters' on parade. Five of these chunky beasts were taken into stock in 1966 in exchange for PD2's, to extend one-man-operation.
New to Glasgow Corporation as dual-door buses in the mid-50's, they had a good turn of speed paid for by being rather thirsty. The were often found on the 4/4A/4B group of services covering the flat lands east of Southend where they had power to spare.
Lined up in fleet number order 210 to 214, FYS677/FYS678/FYS679/FYS686/FYS672.
