Kingston-upon-Hull Transport 147, BDJ69, was one of ten AEC Regent III with Park Royal H30/26R bodies which had been acquired from St Helens Corporation in October 1962 and put into service between December 1962 and June 1963.
They were to London Transport RT specification and had been new to St Helens in 1950. 147 had been 69 (later D69) in the St Helens fleet. They followed nine similar vehicles (from a later batch, new in 1952) which had come from St Helens in April 1962 and put to service in the June and July. It is seen here back in St Helens, having taken part in the Golden Jubilee rally to celebrate 50 years of St Helens Corporation Transport. 147 was withdrawn in September 1970 and passed to A Pickersgill & Laverack (dealer) in February 1971 for scrap.
