Bradford Corporation 799, BDJ87, was a BUT 9611T with East Lancs H30/26R body which had been one of a batch of eight new to St Helens Corporation, initially as their 187, in January 1951, but renumbered 387 in June 1955.
All eight in the batch were sold to Bradford in 1958, 387 becoming Bradford 799. They were rebuilt by Roe, including a seating change to H35/28R, before entering service between March and July 1959. 799 was delicensed in July 1966 and officially withdrawn by June 1971 before passing into preservation in October 1971 as St Helens 387. It is seen here back in St Helens prior to being towed through the town as part of the 1919-1969 Golden Jubilee rally to celebrate 50 years of St Helens Corporation Transport.
