During 1980/81 the M63 (now M60) was being extended through Stockport and a temporary Bailey bridge was erected whilst the A6 bridge was being rebuilt as part of the motorway work. 5868 still in all-day service on the trunk 192, despite being only months away from withdrawal, approaches the temporary bridge as it operates the 12.29 Piccadilly-Hazel Grove
