SELNEC 5995, EDB549, ex-Stockport 295, a 1951 Leyland bodied Leyland PD2/1. The Stockport tree lopper has been decorated with advertising as the Piccadilly Radio (261 on the medium wave) Summer Fun Bus for 1980.
The picture is simply captioned Manchester but looking on Google it appears to be in Portland Street heading away from Piccadilly and just past the junction with Chorlton Street off to the right. Just to confuse matters, Portland street here is obviously one way, but nowadays is two way and the main route in to Piccadilly Bus Station for many services.
