It was seen in Manchester at the Parker Street Coach Park on a Forces leave service.

This is a sight that would be familiar to many thousands of National Servicemen in the 1950's and 60's as they clamoured to get on such coaches on a Friday night for weekend leave to the North and Midlands!

17. PMW386 ... New to Silver Star, as numbers 33 and 32, RAM620 and PMW386 had become Wilts & Dorset 903 and 902 by the time of this shot at Salisbury. They were both Harrington DP41F bodied Leyland PSUC1/2 Tiger Cubs which originally carried the Silver Star motif in the modified roof dome.

21. VAM944 ... New to Shergold & White (Silver Star), Porton Down in 1960, VAM944 was acquired by Super Coaches, Upminster in August 1964 from Bristol Omnibus 7998. The Weymann L39/34F bodied Leyland PDR1/1 Atlantean new in August 1960 is seen in the Super yard at Upminster.

23. WWV564 ... Eynon's WWV564 is quite clearly a former Silver Star vehicle. A Leyland Leopard L1 with Harrington C39F (DP39F?) bodywork, bus seats having replaced the original coach seats but still retaining the hinged door.
