South Shields were early purchasers of Bristol RE chassis when they became available on the open market. This Bristol RESL6L with ECW 45 seat dual door body was 2, ECU202E, in the South Shields fleet.
It is seen here at Tyne and Wear PTE's Byker depot wearing Tyne and Wear yellow livery.
