Scarlet Band, West Cornforth, 80, KPT527J, a Bristol LH6L built in 1970 with Plaxton Derwent DP45F bodywork.
The excursion was bound for Whitby but had called in to Saltburn and parked near the beach. A relatively unusual combination as most Bristol LHs carried ECW bodies.
