Ribble bought a number of Bristol RELLs with ECW dual door bodywork to update Carlisle city services; some of these buses also worked in Preston. Seen at Preston bus station is 252, HRN252G, a 1969 Bristol RELL6G with ECW 41 seat dual door body. Alongside is 448, NTC628M, a 1974 Leyland National.
