LTA898 is a Bristol LL6B with Duple C37F body, new to Royal Blue / Southern National in 1951 as fleet number 1269.
Well that's how my text for my 2013 picture started, and it ended with me and others hoping the vehicle would soon be on the road. How wrong I was, with everything down to a new frame being needed, so worked stalled and eventually stopped. Today it left its long term home in Staffordhire to come to Roger Burdett's site for his team to restore it. I'm not making any predictions this time as when it will be on the road, but amazingly such had been the preparation for this trip that it was started and reversed off the low loader under its own power.
