Tyneside PTE came in to existence on 1st January 1970 taking over the fleets of Newcastle and South Shields. This index just shows vehicles new to the PTE; those taken over by the PTE at formation are shown under the municipal fleet where they entered service.

Tyne & Wear PTE 658, WTN658H, was a Leyland Atlantean PDR2/1 with an Alexander H48/30D body. It entered service in January 1970 for the then-new Tyneside PTE.
