Roger's other photo of Portsmouth 70, GTP987, was taken in October 1953 in Cosham on Spur Road. This Leyland H56R bodied PD2/10 was new 9/52 and lasted until 2/71, making the one way journey to Paul Sykes at Barnsley in the April.
Look at all that lovely lining and the half drop windows - the windows look like they were held in place by grips, rather than window winders. Unlike those fitted to postwar Birmingham buses, the windows look to drop true and not jam - perhaps they were not so good in later life?
