Portsmouth 2, RV237, was one of 2 Tilling Stevens B10A2/Park Royal B30R new in 6/31. It was destroyed by enemy action at Eastney 3/41.
The ever resourceful engineers rescued the engine and fitted it to tower wagon TW1 TP181 which had been converted in 1933 from bus 16, a 1924 Dennis 50cwt with a Strachan & Brown body. TW1 eventually went for scrap in in 1953 having been replaced by a 'new' TW1 converted from Leyland TD2 RV3411.
