Post WWII Portsmouth bus fleet numbers reached 200, thus snuggling up to the trolleybus fleet. The decision was made to start again at 1, although gaps had to be left as some low numbered pre-war buses were still in service. Here we have Portsmouth 1, DTP810, a Leyland PD1 fitted with a locally built Reading H52R, body new in 1/48.
It was withdrawn 9/63 and made the one-way trip to Barnsley the following January. Roger photographed it on Kingston Crescent in May 1954
