A couple of the Crossley Condors new in 1931/32 had a very long life with Portsmouth Corporation, becoming service vehicles after their time carrying the citizens of Portsmouth around thr city. Bus 105, RV2000, was new 7/32 with an English Electric H26/24R body and was withdrawn from service 4/48.
It was converted into a lorry in 1/53 (it looks like the wheelbase was considerably shortened!), continuing in use until early 1961. It was scrapped by Jordan (dealer) Milton, Portsmouth in April 1961. It is seen here towing a skeleton trailer carrying traction standards outside the Stanshaw Laundry on Gladys Avenue in 1953.
