Three former Huddersfield AEC 'Regent' III/Northern Coachbuilders L29/26R of 1949 vintage re-united at the premises of Ponds of Nazeing, Essex in June 1965. ECX423 (left) and ECX422 (right) are in the Ponds fleet and retain Huddersfield's red livery while ECX420 (centre) in the Vine of Great Bromley fleet carried a maroon, grey and cream livery

ECX422 was the third of six A.E.C. 9612E Regent IIIs, with Northern Coachbuilders L29/26R bodies, new in June 1949 to Huddersfield Joint Omnibus Committee, where it was numbered 222. It is seen here with Pond, Nazeing, to whom it had passed in March 1964, having been sold to A.M.C.C. Ltd. (dealer), London E.15, after withdrawal by Huddersfield in 1963.

ECX423, was the fourth of six A.E.C. 9612E Regent IIIs with Northern Coachbuilders L29/26R bodies which were new in June 1949 to Huddersfield Joint Omnibus Committee, where it was numbered 223.

Two former Huddersfield AEC Regent IIIs with Northern Coachbuilders L27/28R bodies dating from 1949 seen with Essex operators: smartly turned out ECX420 with Vine's, Gt Bromley with ECX423 of Pond's, Nazeing, in adapted Huddersfield livery. (Pond's also had ECX422).

9. MKX427
Pond, Nazeing MKX427 had been new to Payne, Buckingham in October 1949 and was a Bedford OB with a Duple Vista C29F body. It had passed to Pond in December 1963.

Pond, Nazeing YPH807 was a Bedford SBG with a Burlingham Seagull C41F body which had been new to Cooke, Stoughton in January 1956, with whom it was numbered 1.
