The picture is entitled 'England's Glory' because, like it says on the matchboxes, 'Contents approx.50'.
This is a view from ground level of the same yard at Plymouth's Milehouse Depot which appears on the right hand side of this photo and shows the long line of buses ready for rush hour service which I guess will be tomorrow as the view was taken on a Sunday.
I think Plymouth was probably unusual in specifying push out ventilators in the upper deck back windows.
