Former Northampton C.T. 146, VV9146, a Crossley DD42/3 with a Roe H31/25R body, new in 1946.
Having successfully retrieved the 'bus from Hunt Brothers' scrapyard at Molesworth the owner, Norman Myers, was keen to show us it was a runner - slave batteries connected, fuel from a can, and off we went!
