Newcastle 501, LTN501, is seen heading the line at Sandtoft the day after its launch into service while on loan from Beamish Museum.
A 1948 Sunbeam S7 with NCB H39/31 body, 501 remained in service all day, while London Transport 1812 and Doncaster 375 rotated with other members of the collection.
