Newcastle 177, 177AVK, was numerically the first of ten Leyland PD3/1 with Weymann H40/32R bodies new in September 1957.
All ten of the batch were transferred to Tyneside PTE on 1 January 1970 and renumbered in February/March of that year, 177 becoming 473. In November 1970 it became a training bus and was again renumbered, this time to 985, before being withdrawn in December 1970.
