Lancaster 79, TTB688 was new to Morecambe & Heysham Corporation in 1954. She was an AEC Regent III 6812A with a Park Royal body which had a seating arrangement of H30/26R when new.
Some people have commented that the outline bears a passing resemblance to an RT. The trio of which 79 was the first had seating increased to H33/26R in the winter of 1959/60 but the PSVC listing does not indicate in what order. The route number blind was fitted in March 1972.
At Local Government Reorganisation on 1 April 1974, the Borough of Morecambe & Heysham became part of the City of Lancaster, and the Transport Departments were merged.
We see her at the terminus of the Promenade service at Happy Mount Park, Bare, in September 1975. She was withdrawn in January 1976 and sold for scrap. She has the two-tone M&H livery with the interim "CITY OF LANCASTER" fleetname in Tilling style.
